Actually I’m not a big jewellery fan. I always wear one golden art déco ring which I bought for myself to remember me of the fact, that you can reach everything you want. And besides that ring, I sometimes wear the jewellery that my grandma gave to me, a few weeks before she died. Except from these pieces, I almost never wear jewellery. I never buy it and most of the time, I don’t even look at it. But when I first saw the jewellery of this designer, I was sold immediately! It was classy, it was fine and it was funky at the same time! Meet Delfina Delettrez and her beautiful jewellery!
Delfina was born as a fourth generation in the Fendi family. The Fendi family’s fashion and accessories passion began with Adele Fendi. She passed her passion down to her daughter Anna, Anna passed it down to her daughter Silvia and Silvia passed it down to her daughter Delfina.
Delfina was born, 22 years ago, in Rome and grew up in both her city of birth as in Rio de Janeiro. She went to the French School, then attended the American High school and later worked as an intern at Chanel in Paris. There she became inspired by beauty and fashion, but despite that, she desided not to continue working in the fashion industry. Instead, she decided to focus on jewellery. In October 2007 at Colette, Paris, Delfina presented her first jewellery collection under her own name.
And in her work, Delfina uses many different materials, such as gold, silver, iron, copper, Tuscan marble, ceramics, woods, glass, bones, leather and stones. And besides using many different materials, Delfina also works with a lot of different colors.
Jewellery experts describe her work with words, such as ‘strong, bright, unusual, fresh and inspirational’. Delfina herself told, in interviews, that all her collections are inspired by her dreams, desires and experiences. And that’s something we sure can see in her work! Delfina’s jewellery pieces almost have their own personalities. I would describe them as fine, outstanding, funky, classy, rich and dreamy. And the best thing is that every collection has her own special signature, but is still completely different than the ones before.
Her work is based on themes such as gothic, romantic, hope and faith, beauty and nature. She have made a lot of jewellery with skulls, flowers, eyes and crosses. And her last collection contains a lot of jewellery with insects, which are most of the time bees. And to me, that is her best work ever!
So, take a look and get inspired!
And if you can afford it, then treath yourself, because every single piece is outstanding!

Hey James!
Thank you so much :). Great that you’ve been there! The Greek jewellery is totally different than most of the European jewellery.
Much more colors and more bling! Love it!
I go check your post out right now :)
Btw, I just made some pictures of me doing yoga haha.
So you will see them coming the following days :)
Love,
Claudia

Vintage jewels are so popular today! I had a post in my mind on an Italian jewels designer, but I still can’t find the time to write it!

I wish I could afford the bee ones… I am a high school kid in FFA and am promoting beekeeping. I own 3 hives and hope to upgrade to 6 soon and will be doing a 20 – 30 Min lecture on beekeeping and CCD for my class and hopefully in my college connections class as well! They are soo pretty! I love your work! Save the bees! =D
